Underpinning Methods We Use

Traditional Mass Concrete: The most common method. We excavate 1-metre sections (“pins”) and replace earth with poured concrete to extend the foundation depth.
Base & Beam: A cost-effective alternative using fewer concrete blocks supported by a structural beam.
Raft Foundations: Ideal for weak or “made” ground. A reinforced concrete slab is installed across the entire floor area to support all load-bearing walls.
Anchor Blocks & Raking Shores: Concrete blocks are installed 3-4 metres from a damaged wall, with shores fixed to provide immediate structural support.
Trench Sheeting: Steel sheets and propping are used to secure loose ground and ensure site safety during excavation.
